This offense, for us to be ranked number 1 in the nation, right, and to be 4-0, which is, you know, clap it up, clap it up, clap it up, clap it up, that's a good thing. But here are our offensive rankings. Shout out to Tyler Horka, um, over there at Inside Texas. Well, our total offense, we rank at 83rd. Uh, passing, we rank at 72nd, which is— oof, it's rough. Rushing, we rank at 93rd. 20+ runs, uh, 94th, you know, 20+ yards when, when running. And then 20+ yards, uh, when passing, 108th. And yards per play, 110th. Yeah, offensively we're not getting it done. We're not getting it done. Which is why I asked in, in the previous video, is this sustainable how we win football games? We need more from our offense. Defensively, we're doing our thing. We're doing— we're actually sitting atop, uh, on the SEC— well, in the SEC and in college football as far as defense. Defense, we're doing great. Offensively, we need more. We need more. We need more. Uh, here's one improvement that I'm expecting from them: offensive rhythm. You can see when we get into our rhythm, that's usually when we score, right? Usually when we score, or we're driving down the field and a penalty or, or whatnot. will happen, uh, and that's how we, you know, we get our field goal and whatever. But we need to find our offensive rhythm. We've seen it, uh, in the 4th quarter against Ohio State. We saw it in spurts. We saw it our, our first, our first drive on offense against Tennessee, right? And then the 2nd time we scored, when Relique Brown punched it in for the 2nd time, we saw it then. We were leaning on people, getting involved in the run game, uh, taking care of business on the offensive line, right? And picking up our assignments, not, not missing assignments. That, that's, that's— I need to see more of that on a consistent basis. I don't need to just see that in the 4th quarter. I don't need to see that here and, oh wait, maybe over there, or, uh, sometimes over here. I need to see that consistent because you have a lot of talent. Talent's not the issue. Talent's not the issue. You, you have Emmitt Mosley, you have, uh, Cam Coleman, you have Ryan Wingo, uh, you have, you have Hollywood Smothers now. You have Hollywood Smothers, you have Relique Brown, right? You, you have these guys. I expect, I expect expect more from them, uh, as far as offensive rhythm. Number 2, I need to get Arch— well, I need to see Arch get involved in the run game. If you can get him involved in the run game, defense are going to have to take account for him possibly running the ball. I need to see more of that. If I could see more of that, I think that opens up everything as far as running the ball, because running the ball, uh, we are actually not really looking good as far as ranking goes. Like I said, rushing We're 93rd in the country. It's not good. It's not good. That's not good at all. Uh, and lastly, we need to get receivers involved via quick screens or quick passes. That's how we're going to get things opened up, especially when we want to go deep. And then, you know, you can get Cam Coleman involved. And we need to talk more about Cam Coleman in just a few seconds. Shout out to Kalshi for this sponsor for this hit. Uh, so many markets to participate in, man. And my favorite market, uh, involves us Going against Oklahoma next week. Yes, we are trading at 79% to win the game against Oklahoma next weekend in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Right? So do me a favor. Go ahead. Download the Calci app. Use promo code HIT to get $25 when you trade $25. Again, that's Calci. Trade on anything. Now we need to use Cam Coleman kind of like how the Dallas Cowboys are using George Pickens. Right? Motion him. Don't have him in stagnant and static, uh, places where he's just gonna be out here all on an island by himself. Well, we know where you're gonna go, right? I'm just, I'm just gonna seal that with over-the-top help. Hey, that's simple. Or we could just double him. I mean, it really doesn't matter, right? What you, you need to give him, get him involved, um, and you don't have to just have him keep going, just doing go routes, go route, go route, go route. That's predictable. That's predictable. Now, it's not all Cam Coleman's fault, right? I would argue a About 20% of it is Cam Coleman's fault. It's more so scheming and how you're using Cam Coleman. Get Cam Coleman, do some, do some quick slants, right? Give him some yak. Get him involved in that. You need to get him involved early. You need to get him, um, going early. That way, when it's time to take the top off the defense, he's there. He's there. But that's just my— that's— I'm saying, I'm saying, then you could— then you can have him do some vertical concepts. Then you can have him, you know, doing a deep cross, or you have him doing a post. But get him involved with some, some simple, something a little easy. You know, he does that now. I'm not having him do anything as far as quick screens, right? We're going to leave that with, with, uh, Emmitt Mosley or Jermaine Bishop or, or, um, or Ryan Wingo. We're not doing that. We're not doing that with Kev Cohen. All right. We're not doing that. Once he's involved, I believe this offense takes a step even farther, right? I think, I think they get, I think they get even better. Um, but that's, I need to see that. I need to see these things. you know, happen, um, this upcoming week against Oklahoma. It's going to be opportunities where you can do so. But it's been your main man with Longhorns Hit. Remember, get your quick hits, 5 minutes multiple times a day on your favorite team, the Texas Longhorns. I will see you all in the next episode. Hook 'em!
