The truth about the Texas Longhorns offense up until this present point is brutal. It's brutal. What's going on everybody, it's your main man Madison Davis. Unfortunately, right now this offense has zero identity. We don't have any identity. Not a run-first offense. We, we, we want explosive plays. That's what Coach Steve Sarkisian said early on in the week at his presser. But that's evident because everything is deep. Everything is deep. It's a seam. It's a deep crosser. It's, it's everything deep. Everything is just, it's deep. And that's how they get covered sacks. I mean, we saw it against Oklahoma. We saw it against Well, we saw it against Ohio State. I mean, Ohio State was an anomaly. That was, we were hurting ourselves for real, like real bad, worse than any of our other games. But we don't, we don't have an identity. We don't. I mean, we used to be like, oh, he's going to do a jet screen. He's going to do this. He's going to do it. He's going to do a jet quick screen, quick pass that. No, we don't have that. We're not doing that. Last time I saw us do all of that was against Texas State. Yeah. And we did it one time, actually. We did a, we did a quick screen, if I'm not mistaken, to Ryan Wingo one time against Tennessee. We, we haven't seen it since. We haven't seen it since. And honestly, Arch needs it. He needs it because it's taken him longer to process, longer than what we, than what we want right at this point in time. But it's not looking too good. We, we rank 105th nationally in total offense. Right, and we rank 54th in passing yards per game. With the amount of talent that we have, that shouldn't happen. That shouldn't happen at all. 9th in the SEC, by the way, in yards per game. 237 yards per game. So I mean, in passing yards, I say passing yards per game. It's it's it's not good, and we can't even talk about the run. We don't even get started in the run. Now we did. We we started to, right? Going into halftime and. It just fizzled out because we did a fade ball. I'm still not over that one. I'm not gonna lie. I know it's Wednesday. We're supposed to be talking about Florida and we will be talking about Florida here soon in the next episode, in the next hit, I should say, in the next hit. No, no, this is unacceptable. This is unacceptable. We need, we need to see, we need to see more. We need, we need to see more. We need to see improvement because we are halfway through the season and this offense has yet to improve. Yet, I mean, we can't just leave it all to the defense. I mean, because zero production by your offense— well, minimal amount of production from your offense. Special teams, you know, your special teams, it is what it is. It's not, it's not pretty at all. So then you put them in a bind because look where they— look where they're punting from. We got a block— they— a blocked punt in the end zone, touchdown. So that's 7 points right there. We gotta— we threw a pick 6. That's seven points. So that's fourteen points in total. Your defense is holding that the opposing offense to ten points. What more do you want from them? We need more production from this offense. We we really we really really really really do. Oh my God, Willie! We really do. But coming up, coming up, this offense can improve. And how can they improve? Stay tuned. Over on Calci, this this hit is sponsored by Calci. Over on Calci right now, the Texas Longhorns are trading at seventy-nine percent to defeat the Florida Gators this. Saturday. So what you can do, you can go ahead, download the Kalshi app, use promo code HIT, H-I-T, to get $25 when you trade $25. And you don't participate in the Texas market, right? You could participate in different markets over there on Kalshi. They— you can participate in, in, in the Bednarik Award where Colin Simmons is the trading favorite as of right now. You can— the Heisman, you can, you can participate in that one. The Biletnikoff Award. There's so many, there's so many, and they allow you to do those things. So go ahead, have some fun over there in Kalshi. Again, that's Kalshi, K-A-L-S-H-I, Kalshi. Trade on anything. This is how the offense can improve. Let's incorporate Arch in some running, right? Let him run the ball from here, here and there, here and there. Not all the time. We don't need 12 carries. We don't need 10 carries. Just let him carry the ball sometimes. Keep the defense guessing. Keep the defense guessing. Because I mean, we— his legs, you, you, you can honestly say his legs are something we should really fear. Not we, but defenses. They, they should fear it. They should give him— give him the opportunity to do so though. We saw him run a little bit more, um, in this last game against Oklahoma. I'd like to see that a little more, right? And there were some times where Arch could have kept the ball, um, where he should have pulled it and, and scampered for like 15 yards. Yeah, there were times that should have happened, but Arch just didn't do it for whatever reason. Uh, it is what it is. Let's see more slants. Let's see more, more routes that's going to get across the middle, right? Let's see some more— some, some slants, some in-breaking routes, some drags, some short crossers. Let's see some more of that. Let's see some more of that because when Arch threw quite literally both interceptions, there was nothing across the middle and the middle was wide open, especially on that last interception. There's nothing across the middle. It just wasn't. Lastly, we're gonna probably— and I probably said lastly last time, but lastly this time for real— we're probably gonna have to find another center. Cole Hudson, he's probably gonna have to take over, uh, because, because Man, Connor Robertson is— he's having a tough, tough time, especially against elite echelon individuals in the trenches. So it can improve, it can improve. Uh, we, we still have time, we still have time. But that's all from your main man Madison Davis. This is Longhorns Hit. Remember, your twice a day, 5-minute quick hit on your favorite team, the Texas Longhorns. I'll see you all in the next hit. Hook 'em!
