But we must talk about these overreactions first. First things first, Arch Manning isn't ready for the SEC. I do believe that is an overreaction, and here's why. You were playing at Neyland Stadium, one of the loudest stadiums known to mankind. Oh my God, it's loud. There are They're rowdy, they're rambunctious, uh, with a perennial edge rush and a perennial defense. I, I think that's an overreaction. Um, and it's only his second year really starting at quarterback. So this is— it's, it's okay. Trust Arch Manning. He's going to be just fine. He's going to be just fine. Um, the next overreaction: the offensive line is broken and will cost Texas the national championship. Here is another overreaction, and this is actually an overreaction here. Um, they went against a really good defense, and again, in a rowdy and rambunctious environment. I can't be too mad. I, I really can't be too mad. And I, I think it's less— don't get me wrong, the offensive line didn't play well. They didn't play well at all, at all. But I think it's, it's less offensive line, and it might be what you're calling. Might be what you're calling, how you're calling it, and maybe you're a little bit too predictable. Sometimes, which is causing that offensive line to struggle. You'll hear a lot of that from me in just a few moments. Uh, Steve Sarkisian's play calling stalled. This is not an overreaction. This is definitely justified. I— some of his play calling just wasn't good, guys. Um, you guys know that. I know that the play calling, it was, it was— let's be honest, after that first drive, it was a disaster. It was a disaster. I mean, we knew everybody knew when we were going to run the football. We knew we were going to pass it. And when then when it was obvious passing downs, Jim Knowles, he feasted on that. He already has a top seven front pass rush. I'm sorry, top seven pass rush. I couldn't get that out. So if I knew that again, this was this blew my mind. It blew my mind the entire game. If I knew you're going to pass the ball, they knew you were going to pass the ball, and they already led college football. In sacks, they were second in college football. Gotta look at the stats to see where they are now, but I mean, we we have to be up there somewhere now. I mean, ten sacks is is is is insane. Lastly, discipline issues prove Texas is unfocused. I won't necessarily say this is an overreaction, but I won't say this is it could be somewhat justified. Yeah, yeah, it can. It can. Yeah, there were costly penalties kept putting us behind the sticks, and we couldn't convert. because we were so far away from the sticks and you were going against a really good defense and they weren't going to let you have it. Relique Brown, still really good. Yes, indeed. Still really good. And he performed under pressure. He took care of the football, no fumbles. And when it was time for him to eat, he ate. That last possession where we scored, well, not the last possession, but the possession that we scored our last touchdown, that was, Relique did his thing. His, he was patient, right? He got the ball. He was patient. He let his blocks develop. And if he had to bounce to the outside, he bounced it to the outside. He did a really good, honestly, I understand the stats, the running game. It wasn't really that, you know, it wasn't really that good. But that also goes to predictability. Um, but when he was able to get in space and make people miss and pick up extra yardage, did really good. He did good. He had 60— he had 67 yards, 12 carries. Uh, actually 17 carries, I'm sorry, for 2 touchdowns. Yeah, yeah, that's, that's, that'll— that's good in my book. I understand, I understand rushing, running game wasn't there, but That's solid. That is solid. Um, so not mad about that. Another bright spot, another bright spot. Your backup, uh, your backup, your young guys are making plays. Jermaine Bishop Jr. making plays. I mean, they're there. These guys are willing to make plays, right? It's just a matter of we have to keep hurting our— we, um, we have to stop hurting ourselves. We keep hurting ourselves, this is what's going to happen. You're going to be in a dogfight. And mind you, we were up 10 points. So we really should have won by more, but I digress. Jermaine Bishop Jr., he's going to be him. He's going to be really good. I think if Sark could get him more involved, he, he's, he's the one that's gonna really take the top off the defense.
