Episode Notes

Texas Longhorns fans just got the injury update they've been waiting for: Hollywood Smothers and Cam Coleman are back at practice—though still in non-contact jerseys—raising optimism for their return soon. With tough upcoming matchups against Missouri and LSU, the conversation focused on whether resting these key players against Mississippi State is the smartest play. Meanwhile, Trevor Gooseby’s successful surgery signals more good news for the roster’s depth.

One concept discussed was Michael Terry III's rising role and whether he'll continue to see more snaps as Smothers rehabs. The discussion explored Cam Coleman's past drop issues following his transfer from Auburn and emphasized the urgent need for improvement before big SEC games. Several points were raised, including standout performances from Jermaine Bishop Jr., who graded as the second-highest Texas offensive player per PFF and looks primed for a breakout as he gets more touches on offense and special teams.
