This game hinges on Arch Manning's performance, and this is what he must do in order to secure a W. What's going on everybody, it's your main man Madison Davis. This is Longhorns Hit, your twice a day, 5-minute quick hit on your favorite team, the Texas Longhorns. Now coming up, there's a key stat about the Oklahoma defense as it pertains to Arch Manning. You're going to want to stick around to hear about this. Let's go ahead and get into it. Let's get into it. Let's get into it now. First thing that he must do, eliminate mistakes under pressure. Now I understand, I understand, line, the offensive line had some miscues and miscommunication and things of that nature. Yeah, I understand, I understand. A clean pocket, he was actually dicing up Tennessee at times, and at other times he was, you know, not making decisions, you know, and that would also be because of pressure. Right? Calm down. You're the man. Relax. Okay? It's easier said than done. I understand. But you are Arch Manning at the end of the day. So just when when when there's pressure, run. That's point number two. Run. Remember, you are Timothy Alexander. You can run the ball. You are Arch Manning. We saw what you did in 2025. I want to see more running from you. I do. I do. I want to. I want to see some. I do. I I really do. And when you are running, make sure we are sliding, run out of bounds. You know, I'm fine with fighting for an extra yard. That's fine. But I don't want your head, you know, cleaned off. We saw the UTSA game. I was scared for my life and I wasn't even the one running the ball. Right. So run. You have, you have, you are, you, hey, you have the ability to run. You're, you're not, you're not somebody who has to just stay in the pocket. No, you can take off. You can take off. Last but certainly not least, manage the game. We don't need you going above and beyond. There's enough talent around you to get the job done. Your job, don't force anything. You don't have to force anything. You really don't. You have playmakers around you. Give them the ball and just let them feast. That's all. That's all we need. We need— now we do need you to still play your part, right? I mean, if there's a play that's to be made and you feel like you're the only one that can make it, By all means, go do it, but we don't need you, you know, if it's 3rd and 15, oh, I gotta do this, I gotta do that, and put yourself in harm's way. Then, well, I don't want that. I don't want that. I don't want to think of another outcome like that. I don't want to think of that. Now, I did say that was 3 points. I really did, but I do have another one. I'm sorry, I lied. Honestly, it kind of ties with the— yeah, it ties with running. It does. It ties with running. This is more so for Steve Sarkisian. Yeah, give the man some running plays. Give them some running plays because there's a key stat that I have, uh, that kind of, uh, helps you out a lot. Oklahoma defense, the stat that I talked about a little earlier. Now look, let's go to this stat really, really quick and I'll get up out of your hair. Um, as far as their passing defense goes, they rank 4th in the country. Yes indeed. Hey look, I was telling you guys about the week. I told you Oklahoma's run— they're passing defense, they're like that. They, they are like that. Yes, yes indeed. Yes, they, yes, they are. Run defense though, they rank 42nd. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Yeah, look. Yeah, look at you now. Yeah, I know, I know, I know. See, see, I know a little something something. I know a little something something, right? So what you need to do, you need to get Arch involved in the run game. You have to. Again, I'm not saying 15 carries. I'm not saying overdo it. No. But make this defense have to think. Look, they're 42nd in the country, for crying out loud. Make them think. You have Hollywood Smothers, heck of a back. You have Relique Brown, heck of a back. You even have Derek Cooper, he's going to be a heck of a back. He's physically downhill, he's gonna run you over. Well, make them think though. Make them hesitate a little bit. All right, whoa, is Arch gonna keep it? Uh, you know, start messing with their minds. Right, because at the end of the day, the game is 90% mental, 10% physical. Okay, make that defense have to think, make them have to work mentally and physically. I mean, it's, it's really, it's really simple. Now, as far as their, their, um, their passing defense being ranked 4th, that, that does kind of worry me a little bit because we kind of struggle. We are struggling. Honestly, our offense is struggling as is, but I have a Good feeling that they fixed a lot of their offensive struggles. If, if you could attack again, if you could attack them in the run and open up the pass just a little bit because those safeties come down, but do it, do your thing, do your thing, right? And, and like I stated yesterday, whoever runs the ball and has more success running the ball in this particular series under Coach Steve Sarkisian, they win the game. they win the game. And you saw it last year, you saw it in 2024, we have to see it this year. Arch, let's do our thing, let's do our thing. When your number's called, let's go to work. It's your main man Madison Davis with the Locked On Longhorns hit. Remember, your twice a day, 5-minute, uh, quick hit on your favorite team, the Texas Longhorns.
