Let's go ahead and get into the injuries and we'll go brick by brick. Hollywood Smothers has a severe shoulder injury and knee injury. He could miss the rest of the regular season. Ditto Graceson Littleton, he has a knee injury. This is all per Anwar Richardson of Orange Bloods, by the way. Shout out to him. Graceson Littleton has a knee injury. He could also miss the rest of the regular season. Kade Phillips, uh, could miss 2 to 4 weeks with a groin injury. Cam Coleman, he has a shoulder injury, uh, and further testing needs to be evaluated to, to decide how long this will be, but he's questionable as of right now to play against Missouri. Ryan Wingo has a shoulder injury as well. Further testing is needed after inconclusive initial Uh, results. And Colin Simmons is still day to day. They're gonna see if he can go either this week or— I think he'll be able to play next week, next weekend against LSU, but that's just me. That's just me. Now, Hollywood Smothers and Cam Coleman, I said this last week, I don't think they should have played anyway. I think there was— we have enough talent for them to win, for us to win against Mississippi State big. I, I thought we could have— we didn't really need them. I think we could have just let them rest for another week because, you know, they were already on the injury report last weekend. Well, Well, last week, this week, last week, you get what I'm trying to say. And, um, and they were, they were questionable. Then it went from questionable to probable, probable to playing. So I just feel like those could have been, they, they could have been, you know, we couldn't, we, they didn't have to play. They didn't have to play. And I feel like they might have re-aggravated some of their injuries. Graceson Littleton and Kade Phillips, that's a huge blow, especially for, for our DB room. But With the amount of talent that we have in the back end, I trust Coach Will Muschamp, and I trust those guys back there to handle business. I really hope Grayson Littleton isn't out for the rest of the regular season because we're going to need him. Did okay, Phillips. Uh, Ryan Wingo, I, I did see he was, he was a little, he was kind of gimpy all game, honestly, and I could tell he wasn't right. So I figured something was really, really wrong with him, and we just hope for the best. We, we, you know, the, the official SEC injury report is going to come out tonight. It's going to come out tonight and it's going to come out on Wednesday. The one I'm really paying attention to, the one on Wednesday, and I'm really paying attention to the one on Thursday. I'm not really paying attention to the one today unless it says out. If it says out, then yeah, that's unfortunate. Now coming up, I'm going to let you know and tell you why this worries me, why all of these injuries worry me at this particular point in the season. But first, This hit is sponsored by Calci. Now, now, now, now, why this worries me, why these injuries worry me. One, this is a must-win game. Honestly, every game from here on out is a must-win for the Texas Longhorns due to the fact that we put ourselves in this hole, right? We've already lost 2 games to unranked opponents and We've dropped from 1st to 7th, from 7th to 19th, back to 11. Now we've moved on up in the rankings and now we're at 10. But every game is a must-win game and you have, you have to be healthy. And, and when you're not healthy, I'm sorry, man, that doesn't really work out in your favor. It doesn't. It doesn't. The running back rotation— look, I like Raleek Brown, but you, you also have Hollywood Smothers is A guy that you really paid some money, uh, for to, to really contribute to this offense, to propel us into a different dimension as far as the run game goes. And him not being on the field, it hurts. It hurts. Now we do have Michael Terry III, and we do have Derrek Cooper, and we, and we have other guys, right? But I mean, he, he's one of those guys. He's one of those ones. He's RB1. And not him not being there, ditto Cam Coleman and Ryan Wingo, man, that to an already struggling offense. That's not ideal. That's, that's, it's not looking too good. Now, as far as Grayson Littleton and Kade Phillips, you have guys, you know, you still have Black, right? You still have Jelani McDonald. You have all those guys. So I'm not really worried about the back end. I think Grayson Littleton, like, like Onward Richardson said, these guys are gonna miss the rest of the regular season. We make the playoffs, they'll be back. But in order for you to make the playoffs, you have to win. You have to win out. I feel like you have to win out. I do. And it's, it's just, this is, this is bad. This is bad. This is, this is very, very bad. And I am worried for our playoff chances. This doesn't— this does— it's not looking good. It's not looking good at all. But we're gonna keep our fingers crossed and we're gonna keep— we're gonna pray that, um, that, that we can get these guys healthy as soon as possible. As soon as possible. But that's gonna be it from your main man Madison Davis. Remember, this is Longhorns Hit, your twice a day, 5-minute quick hit on your Favorite team, the Texas Longhorns.
